BROADLAWN MANOR NURSING & REHABILITATION CENTER HOSTS TOUR FOR MEMBERS OF THE FAITH HOME FOUNDATION INC.
(January 5, 2010) Gerard Kaiser, Vice President of Senior Services, welcomed the opportunity to show Henry A. Braun, President and Martha Peterson, both members of the Faith Home Foundation, Inc., the enhanced environment and home-like atmosphere created on Orchard and Grove units as a direct result of their funding.
Broadlawn Manor was selected as a recipient for a grant funded by the Faith Home Foundation, Inc. earlier in the year. These funds provided a valuable component in the remodeling plan for the units. Mr. Kaiser stated “The purchase of eight new adjustable dining room tables was key in providing a more resident-centered, home-like atmosphere. The new tables are flexible in height to accommodate wheelchairs and personal space and can be easily folded to adapt overall space to augment activities.”
Mr. Braun and Mrs. Peterson were able to see first-hand how invaluable their support was in helping Broadlawn Manor create an atmosphere that has positively affected residents’ social interaction, increased food consumption and enhanced enjoyment of mealtime.
Mr. Kaiser stated, “On behalf of the residents, families and all of us at Broadlawn Manor, we are very appreciative of the grant provided by Faith Home Foundation, Inc. and I personally enjoyed showing Mr. Braun and Mrs. Peterson the results of their generosity.”
